Our Mission 
A quieter approach to dog care.

Not all dogs thrive in kennel environments or busy day care settings.
  Some dogs need a slower pace, familiar routines, and a quieter space to relax.  

 

At The Pawcation Pad, dogs are cared for in a family home environment, with plenty of rest time, supervision, and individual attention.

 

We aim to follow each dog’s usual routine as closely as possible, helping them feel settled, secure, and comfortable during their stay.  
 

Our home environment

 

Dogs staying with us are cared for on the ground floor only, with access to a secure, fully enclosed garden and opportunities for calm exercise appropriate to their needs.  There is a resident cat in the household; dogs and the cat are always kept separate, with no unsupervised interaction at any time.  

 

Nearby green spaces and woodland areas provide opportunities for gentle walks where appropriate and agreed with owners, always tailored to the individual dog.

Our Vision 
Low numbers, individual care

​​We intentionally limit the number of dogs we care for to maintain a calm environment and ensure each dog receives the time and attention they deserve.

This approach is particularly suited to:

  • dogs who prefer quieter settings

  • dogs who find kennels overwhelming

  • dogs who benefit from routine and familiarity

  • owners looking for a more personal alternative

 

What to expect

All dogs are accepted by assessment only.


A trial stay may be recommended to ensure The Pawcation Pad is the right fit for your dog and that your dog is comfortable in a home-based setting.

​

Owners are asked to provide their dog’s usual food and any personal items to help maintain familiarity and consistency during their stay.
